Do not use vacuum cleaners since they can forcefully take the keys out. If you do not feel comfortable removing those tricky 7 keys, simply remove the others and clean what you can using a brush (careful with the LEDs and switches) or a can of compressed air.Ĭompressed air is also an option if you just don't dare removing ANY keys. Now hold the key on top of the keybard towards the side opposite to the metal bars, introduce the metal bars first, then press into the main switch. In order to put them back on, do it backwards. Now hold the Spacebar down and to the right, and press down again on the other end of the metal bar in order to finish removing the key. While holding the Spacebar down and to the left, use the pointy stick to press the left end of the metal bars downwards, separating it.

Now, start by removing the left end of the metal bar by moving the whole Spacebar towards the left (while still keeping it downwards). Therefore, lift the Spacebar to separate it from the switch gently, then move the key downwards, following the metal bars' location. While trying to remove the bars, take notice of the side of the key they're fixed onto, for example, in the case of the Spacebar, the metal bars are towards the bottom of the key. What I do is remove every single key on my BWCV2 using a generic key puller (if you try removing them with your fingers, you could break them if you're not pulling them off perfectly vertical).īe VERY careful with the Spacebar, right Shift, Enter, Backspace, and the numpad's 0, Enter, and Plus since they have metal bars.įor those keys, use your fingers to detach them from the keyboard, then use some pointy thing to remove the bars.
